Gens d’Ys “Elevation” at Celtica Festival 2010

the Story...

Every year, since already 13 years Celtica Festival takes place in the amazing Valle'd'Aosta region in Italy. We follow this festival since 4 years and, until now, we were taking our part just at the very end of the whole event - the final evening in Bard Fortress. Finally, this year we decided to go to the bottom of the heart of this Festival, in Peuterey Forest and Veny Valley, right under the Mont Blanc massive. It was an amazing experience, full of joy, nice people, great music, good beer, crazy dancing the whole day till the very late. We have shooted more than 8 hours of video in just 3 days, capturing faces, sounds, workshops, beautiful mountains and the environment, musicians, local animals... Although it can not be said simply like that - you have to live it Live, we are happy to start to share with You all our efforts. So, stay around as we'll add a lot of stuff very shortly :)

Indeed, here is the first video, which was shooted with 2 cameras (I was sitting directly on the ground right under the stage!). As many of  our live events shootings out there nothing was planned, just emotions. I have completed this video a few days ago and it seems to look out pretty good. And we are certainly talking about Gens d'Ys, an incredible dancing school for irish dancing here in Italy! You might want to apply and try, they have courses and lessons through the whole country.

Psst!: watch in HD!

So What?

Hi!, and thank You to be around!

Here you will find some videos we have published on internet in the last couple of years.
More stuff to come, stay tuned!!!

We have the passion of video shooting, editing and experimenting.
Actually we prefer shoot and edit directly in HD, as there's already a flat screen in every house and the widescreen 16:9 format is becoming a standard.

We especially love shooting live events - shows, theater plays, concerts.

Videotaping a play is pretty straightforward if all you want to do is provide evidence that it took place. Creating a video of a play that people will enjoy watching is something entirely different.

Looking forward to collaborations, team projects, documentaries...
